Jokes a part, Nowadays, even there is various brand in smartphone market, In my opinion, Iphone being the king of the segment but do you all know once upon a time Blackberry was the KING OF THE MATCH.......

BLACKBERRY device considered as person's brands. Person's who owns a blackberry device categorised as a wealthy. Because, the device itself offer premium design and material at early 20s. But, due to some reason they out of the game. Today, we will talk about the cause of Blackberry failure.

First of all, in the year between 2008 to 2013, this period consider the glory year of BLACKBERY. At that time, Blackberry offers great device with premium price. Blackberry considered the most secure smartphone that gives the users the most security option. The attraction that makes the sales gain was the keypad design. Blackbery device offers keyboard style keypad in most of their model. 

The biggest point that helps Blackberry popularity is BBM (Blackberry Message)

BBM is considered as whatsapp at that time. BBM is become the famous message app for the users to connect with people. Users can add connect with others by BB Pin. BBM offers status, profile picture, chats, and Blackberry own signature identity (PING) .

In the year of 2012, peoples are start moving to whatsapp because its more convenient and BBM is only can be used in Blackberry devices. The following year, in the month of October BBM was available for android and ios. But, it loses the popularity.

The main cause of the fallen was :

• OUTDATED DESIGN & FEATURES

At that time, Blackberry main competitor was Samsung and Iphone. In terms of technologhy and design, Samsung and other brands is a step ahead with a full screen, high memory capacity and a lot of new features.

Starting 2014, most of the new device comes in full screen but Blacberry itself being stubborn on provide keyboard style keypad for their devices.

Blackberry OS was the most unconvinient OS at that time compared to others. Users cannot find certain apps that need. Even, most of the developer refused to develop new app for Blackberry OS because of their strong security. Their OS itself can't attract the users because their OS are simple and not having any customisable option.

After few years, Blackberry notices their mistakes and wants to fix it but its too late. Peoples are start moving to other brand by leave Blackberry. That was a big hit for Blackberry. In the year of 2019, BBM officially has been terminated.

Blackberry was established in the year of 1999 owned by Blackberry limited until the year of 2016. Due to shortage of profits Blackberry was taken by TCL Corporation. They started to released new Blackberry devices until the year of 2018. Their last model is Blackbery Key 2. In ther year of 2020, Blackberry was take over by ONWARD MOBILITY.
